The kitchen is filled with the sweet aroma of fresh fruit from the big wicker basket in the corner. My grandma takes out a pear and cuts it on the old wooden board, the juicy slices glistening in the afternoon sun.

A painting with a splash of colour and a picture of items with relevance to me. But beyond that I love the delicate connection I now have with the painter simply by knowing she studied this object as carefully as I am every day. And the wraparound care with framing and delivery was seamless too!
