These intimate teacup studies elevate an everyday object to center stage, capturing their quiet elegance through dramatic lighting and thoughtful composition. I carefully arranged and photographed each teacup using photo flash lighting to create striking highlights and shadows before translating these moments to paint.
Mounted on thin 2mm boards, these pieces might be best displayed in a frame behind glass. Perfect for kitchens, dining rooms, reading nooks, or anyone who appreciates finding beauty in the ordinary moments of daily life.
These paintings are part of my 2023 collection, featuring early explorations and varied subjects that allowed me to experiment with different techniques and themes throughout the year.

A painting with a splash of colour and a picture of items with relevance to me. But beyond that I love the delicate connection I now have with the painter simply by knowing she studied this object as carefully as I am every day. And the wraparound care with framing and delivery was seamless too!
